As a kid, I attended multiple Christian schools. Without a doubt, WCHS was the best of them. I arrived in 1990 as a sophomore from California. I was immediately accepted, nurtured, and found it very easy to fit in with a group of like-minded kids and was given opportunities that were unavailable at previous schools.
When we considered sending our son, Caleb, to his first year of school, we didn’t even consider sending him anywhere else. As a kid who had only experienced a home-school learning environment, WCHS welcomed him as a freshman in a way we could not have anticipated. He immediately found his place in the theatre department, visual arts, singing in four choral groups, leading worship in chapel, and most recently joining the bowling team. He has made many friends who care deeply for him and have made the transition seamless. We weren’t sure how he would respond to his first year in “real” school, but the experience for him and us as parents has exceeded our best case scenario. We are truly thankful.
