Priority Pools

As needed, a priority pool consisting of all applications meeting the given criteria will be established. For each opening, all applicants in a higher priority pool will have favored status over those in lower pools. However, within each pool there is no hierarchy or prioritization – each principal may select any member of a pool to fill any opening. In the event that enrollment fills the capacity for a grade level or class would become full, WCS does have a policy for priority placement that may be implemented.

Order of priority Pools

  1. Grace Brethren Church (Columbus or Powell) members/attenders who qualify on the Ministry Support Application.
  2. Non-GBC families with siblings in the school.
  3. Children of WCS alumni.
  4. Grace Brethren Church (Columbus or Powell) members/attenders who do not qualify on the Ministry Support Application.
  5. Students transferring from another Christian school in good social and academic standing.
  6. Open Enrollment

Priority Placement

Children of faculty/staff members will be given priority over all other families. The school will overbook a class, if necessary, in order to enroll a child of a faculty/staff member. Each spring, Worthington Christian Schools will establish priority pools for each grade level if needed for the next school year. Each family being considered for admissions will be interviewed, and the final decision regarding admittance will be determined at that time.
