CADD I - Beginning Computer Aided Design and Drafting - 1/2 Credit

Course No. 801

Beginning Computer Aided Design and Drafting will focus on the fundamentals of drafting using the computer. Course content will include terminology of drafting, computer basics in set-up and layout of designs and application of drawing principles. A number of required drawings will be assigned. This class is open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. You may not sign up for CADD II until the following year. This is a fun course!

CADD II - Advanced Computer Aided Design and Drafting - 1/2 Credit

Course No. 802

Advanced Computer Aided Design and Drafting is the second series of CADD courses offered at WCHS. This course is designed to advance the technical skill of students who are familiar with CADD software. This course will focus on design and engineering concepts, space planning, structure design and function and form structures. The prerequisite for this course is to have earned a C or better in Drafting or a beginning CADD course taken in a previous year. This class is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors. This class requires consistent work, but it's fun!

PHOTOGRAPHY (Beginning & Advanced) - 1/2 Credit

Course. No. 805

Photography will focus on introducing the student to the basic concepts of photographic principles and practices. As well as providing formal study, it will also include firsthand experience allowing the student to develop the skills learned in the course content. The major areas of study include: (1) the camera, (2) light, (3) exposure control, (4) black and white film processing, and (5) print making. Projects that include the construction of a simple camera, a photo portfolio, field trips and field experiences, as well as regular classroom instruction will all serve to give the student an excellent opportunity to develop his skills as a photographer and acquaint him with the general field of photography.
