Library Media Center
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15
Our Mission
The library/media centers of Worthington Christian Schools function as an integral part of the overall educational process and exist to serve the students, staff and parents. The school library-media center strives to provide intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats necessary for the fulfillment of the curriculum and for the independent study or recreational reading of the students.
In order to provide each student with a meaningful Christian educational experience, the library media centers have established the following overall objectives:
- To implement, enrich, and support the approved courses of study comprising the curriculum;
- To stimulate growth in factual knowledge, literary appreciation, aesthetic values and ethical standard;
- To stimulate critical thinking and creativity;
- To stimulate leisure reading;
- To encourage a lifelong library and reading habit; and
- To promote Christian resources for curriculum integration and personal growth.
