This year’s fall play, presented by the WCHS Theatre Department under the direction of David O’Roark, is just weeks away.

Join us October 4-6 to see Fools, a fable comic written by Neil Simon. That weekend, the AC Auditorium (6675 Worthington-Galena Road) stage will be transformed into a small village in Ukraine during the late 19th century, where you will follow the story of a schoolteacher, Leon Steponovich Tolchinsky, who takes a new job educating Sophia, the daughter of Dr. Zubritsky and his wife, Lenya. Leon soon learns that there is a curse on the village that makes everyone stupid, but complications ensue when Leon falls in love with his pupil.

For the first time in WC history, this play has two totally different casts. A cast of all freshmen and sophomores will perform Thursday night, October 4, at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday afternoon, October 6, at 2:30 p.m.  The second cast consisting of all juniors and seniors will perform Friday, October 5, and Saturday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m.

This hilarious play is appropriate for all ages. Tickets are general admission and will be available at the door for just $7. As always, WC staff and students are free.
