BLACK HISTORY MONTH APPAREL NOW AVAILABLE: ORDER SOON
For the second year in a row, the WC student organization United Front has created an apparel design commemorating Black History Month. The design reflects this year’s theme determined by this group of students: Recognize. Educate. Celebrate.
They aim to help the WC community recognize cultural differences, be educated on cultural differences, and celebrate those differences. Leaders of United Front have planned several activities throughout the month of February to emphasize this theme. (Stay tuned to the school’s website and social media accounts in the month of February to join us in celebrating unity here at WC!)
Like last year, youth and adult sizes are available, but there is no pressure to purchase one of these shirts. As Dr. Buzz explains, “This (purchasing the commemorative t-shirt) is an extra thing that folks can do if they want. Buying or not buying a shirt says nothing about anything except wanting or not wanting to own a shirt!”
If you are interested in purchasing a commemorative shirt (or hoodie!), click here. The deadline to order is Monday, January 27, and the shirts will be delivered in time for students to wear them to the WCHS chapel service dedicated to Black History Month on February 12.
