STAFF SPOTLIGHT: CHELSEA MEYERS
The Upper School is blessed to have Chelsea Meyers as an Administrative Assistant. Her eagerness to help, love for the students, and devotion to the school can be seen every day. Did you know she is an amazing artist and a twin?
What is your role at WC, and how long have you worked here?
I’m an administrative assistant in the upper school office. This will be my 5th year working at WC. This is also my 3rd year coaching the varsity volleyball team. Go Warriors!
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Being able to serve the students, families, faculty, and staff at WC. So much of what our job entails can’t be put into a job description. We have our normal tasks to do, of course, but a very large portion of our job is simply helping anyone who needs it. Serving our people is so rewarding and fulfilling. And I know admin assistant jobs have a reputation of being mundane and boring, but being an admin assistant in our office never has a dull moment! I love the people I work with and we have so much fun. It truly is an honor and a joy to serve the WC community.
What is your favorite verse, and why?
Romans 8:31, “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” This verse (and the following verses) are just such a great reminder that no matter what the world throws at us, we can have confidence in the God who gave up His own son for us. I am confident that God is bigger than all my insecurities and anxieties. Nothing can separate us, so what do we have to be afraid of? “We are more than conquerors through him who loved us!”
