STAFF SPOTLIGHT: CHERI SCHULTZ
Cheri Schultz has come alongside students encouraging them to be the best they can be for over 30 years. She has graciously served our youngest WC students since 2016.
What is your role at WC, and how long have you worked here?
I started at WC as the Kindergarten Reading Intervention Specialist in the fall of 2016, so this is my sixth year. I started at the ECC, and for the first few years, I worked with kindergarten students. When we moved to the new K-2 building, I now work with kindergarten and 1st-grade students as the Reading Intervention Specialist.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Children are a gift from God! Being with children each week is such a joy and seeing each one grow and thrive as a person and student is extremely rewarding. After a 31-year tenure as a Middle School Special Ed teacher, I thoroughly enjoy being part of the team that gets the kids started at WC.
What is something interesting your students may not know about you?
I am a Daughter of the American Revolution, and one of my hobbies is re-enacting the Revolutionary War.
