STAFF SPOTLIGHT: KATHY KRAMER
Kathy Kramer has been serving WC for over 26 years. She has a heart for WC students, meeting them right where they are. You may see her break out in a little dance with students, giving a loving hug on a bad day, or nurturing a child’s heart by telling them how much they are loved by Jesus. She is loved by the ones she serves and the ladies who work alongside her.
What is your role at WC, and how long have you worked here?
I am the Food Service Director and have been at WC for 26 years. I manage all three foodservice kitchens. I have been amazed watching the staff God brings to WC through the seasons. I see staff connect and support and encourage one another through some really tough life issues as they join together to serve our students and staff. I am truly blessed.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I love serving the students. I want to make sure each one realizes they are valued and loved. I want them to know that God created them individually and for a purpose.
What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” This verse is a constant reminder that what we do in our daily roles, personal and professional, is to be done with a willing, positive heart and attitude. “As working for the Lord” to me displays a humble, appreciative spirit of the amazing gift of salvation God has given us. “not for men” reminds me not to seek the attention or approval of men as my purpose for what I do.
