The Dicke Family
Alum rediscovers the Truth about Worthington Christian
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
When Donald and Rachel Dicke were looking for a school for their children, they saw the future. And the future didn’t look great.
“We lived in a larger school district and I really wanted one with more control over their placement and redistricting,” Rachel said. “The school district we lived in had bad ratings and discouraging reports. I didn’t feel that it would offer a quality education. I wanted to protect my kids while they were young and I didn’t want to expose them to things they were too young to understand.”
Donald, a Worthington Christian alum, suggested they look into his alma mater and the two quickly agreed Worthington Christian School was a perfect fit for their family. They liked the school’s curriculum, the variety of opportunities the school offered and the way the school incorporates families in the learning process through events like Marmon Valley Weekend.
“I really wanted a smaller setting for our kids but Worthington Christian is large enough to offer a variety of opportunities as the students progress from the lower to upper school,” Rachel said. “Students learn where all truth, knowledge and creativity comes from.
“They learn with peers who they can identify with and who encourage them to make good choices. I feel they are in a safer environment and learning more of God’s truth and less worldly wisdom than they might elsewhere.”
