Tickets Now On Sale for High School Musical Jr.
Under the leadership of award-winning Director David O’Roark, Worthington Christian’s theatre department is putting the finishing touches on its production of High School Musical Jr. as they prepare for this year’s spring performances. This production marks a meaningful milestone—Mr. O’Roark’s final show at WC after 25 years of faithful direction and more than 75 productions that have shaped and inspired generations of students.
Disney’s High School Musical Jr., based on the book by David Simpatico with music adapted, arranged, and produced by Bryan Louiselle, will take the stage on:
Friday, April 17 | 7 PM
Saturday, April 18 | 2 PM & 7 PM
High School Musical Jr. centers on the blossoming relationship between Troy, a high school athlete, and Gabriella, the new academically gifted student. After meeting on vacation and connecting through a karaoke performance, they are surprised to find themselves at the same school. When they decide to audition for the school musical together, they face resistance from the reigning star, Sharpay, as well as hesitation from their own well-meaning friends.
As Troy and Gabriella learn to step outside expectations and embrace who they are, they discover the joy of friendship, the excitement of first love, and the value of acceptance. Filled with high-energy dance numbers and familiar songs, this production celebrates the courage it takes to be authentic and the beauty of coming together as a community.
General admission tickets are now on sale for $12. Worthington Christian students may attend for free, but should secure a ticket for their seat reservation. Performances will take place at the Worthington Christian School Auditorium in the K-2 Building of the Lower School at 6675 Worthington Galena Rd.
