- 5th Grade: Wonder by RJ Palacio. You may check out from the library or here is the Amazon link.
- 6th Grade: Students may choose their own book this year – please see requirements here.

- Understanding the Changes
- We hope the expanded khaki options are more cost-conscious for families by allowing students to choose any appropriate chino brand. Students no longer need to purchase khakis from only Lands’ End or School Closet.
- The new standardized crewneck sweatshirt is available at School Closet for $30. This provides a more affordable outerwear option for both Lower and Upper School students.

To report an absence, late arrival, or early dismissal before 9 AM on a school day, call the attendance hotline at 614-410-4343. Messages can also be left the night before and will be adjusted in attendance the next day. After 9 AM on a school day, please call the main office at 614-431-8240.- Attendance Flowchart: Please note that all excused absences will be marked as “unexcused” until proper documentation is turned in.
- Extended Absence: If you are aware of a future absence that will be 4+ days, please fill out our Extended Absence Pre-verification Form and turn it in to the office at least a week prior to leaving if possible.

- Chapel
Parents are welcome to attend any of our chapels during the school year! They are every Wednesday in the Lower School Gymnasiums (K-2 starts at 9:05 AM, 3-6 starts at 9:30 AM). Please remember that you must sign in at the Lower School office before going to chapel. - Email Grade Notifications
If you would like to receive an email notification from FACTS when there is a missing or zero entered on your student’s assignments, and to receive a weekly progress report, please follow our instruction page to set it up. - Praying Parents Group
Please join us on the second Monday of each month from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. in the Auditorium on the K-2 Campus. Contact Tisha Nussbaum. - Uniforms need to be uniform, so please see below and the handbook for guidelines:
- Please see this visual chart for quick reference.
- Students may now wear straight-leg chino pants and shorts (no cargo, skinny, or jogger styles) from any retailer. Pants and shorts should be khaki colored.
- Skirts, jumpers and shorts are to be no shorter than 3 inches above the top of the kneecap.
- The only outerwear pieces allowed to be worn in class are the navy fleece, uniform sweaters and the standard WC logo crewneck sweatshirt. A uniform polo or Oxford must be worn underneath any outer layer.
- Socks, tights, and leggings are to be white, black, gray, or navy with no pattern/print.
- Shoes must be closed toe/closed heel – no crocs.

- Drop Off & Pick Up
- Parents may begin dropping-off students at 8:30am.
- If you arrive before 8:30am:
- At K-2, we have plenty of room in the carline.
- At 3-6, we cannot have any cars in line because we use the same line for buses. At 3-6, if you arrive before 8:30am, you must park in the K-2 parking lot to wait then drive over.
- All students must be picked up no later than 3:40pm.
- Shuttle Drop Off Map: If you utilize the morning shuttle at the US, please take a look at this map for drop off location. It is important to follow these routes for the safety of both our students and drivers.
