As we begin a new school year, we want to take a moment to highlight a few new faces at WC, as well as some familiar faces stepping into new roles.
Worthington Christian is excited to welcome Claire Hopper as our Upper School Business Teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and an MBA from Western Governors University. Claire comes to WC having previously served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Commander Lending. Claire and her husband have two children.
We asked staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Claire!
What is the first job you ever had?
I worked at Kohl’s.
Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
My Algebra 2 teacher, Mr. Popp. He was very down-to-earth and always ensured his students could understand the material.
If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
Juggling.
What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
Skipper’s Linguine.
What is something people might be surprised to find out about you?
I can whistle like R2-D2.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Follow Jesus, and the rest will follow.
