High School Academics

Teachers at the high school level challenge students to not just memorize facts, but to ask thoughtful questions and think critically. They wrestle with ideas that challenge them, engage in conversations that stretch them, and discover that truth and grace are not opposites. Through these learning experiences, students also learn to serve as a vital part of the curriculum. Because becoming who God calls you to be means learning to lead with both courage and compassion.

Visual & Performing Arts

Whether students desire to be professional artists or simply one-time participants, our vibrant arts program is a cornerstone of the WC experience, encouraging and welcoming all students.

Supporting Budding Artists

Our visual arts program hits full throttle in the Upper School, providing our visual artists with the space and tools – both tactile and digital – to produce. They experience field trips, art service projects, and recurring student art shows.

Music Programs For Every Taste

Upper School musical and vocal music programming offers numerous options for students, ranging from jazz, pep, and concert bands to a number of choirs and ensembles. These performers also compete in statewide competitions and assemble seasonal and special performances for the community.

Making Theatrical Magic

Theatre shows are special opportunities to highlight the creativity and many talents of our student body. From bit parts to leading roles, performing in any of the four theatrical productions is open to any student, regardless of experience.

Clubs & Organizations

Fellowship Through Shared Passions

High school isn’t only about academics and organized sports – at WC, over 14 student-led clubs and organizations allow students to bond over passions like robotics, aviation, exercise science, skiing, worship, and more.

Warrior Athletics

Triumphing In Warrior Red & Gold

If you walk around Worthington Christian’s campus, you’ll see we take a lot of pride in our Warrior sports teams—and we’ve got the trophy cases to prove it. With 13 varsity sports, there’s a way for everyone to show their competitive spirit while we honor Christ with our determination, strength, and perseverance.

A Vision For WC Graduates

At Worthington Christian School our primary means of discipleship is to teach students to interact with all academic disciplines from the perspective of a citizen of the Kingdom of God.  We believe that as we better understand all aspects of the world that God has created, we will grow to better understand God’s person, His Word, and His ways.

Creation, Fall, and Redemption:

Recognize that while there are multiple ways a person can view the world, the Christian worldview is unique and intellectually credible in that it provides a metanarrative for understanding all disciplines. Thus, a graduate should be able to see how themes of creation, fall, redemption, and glorification impact one’s understanding of the world and the daily decisions of life.

Essential Questions:

Answer the essential questions raised by each discipline, and view each discipline as a window on life that sharpens a person’s analytical and problem-solving skills.

Scriptural Application:

Appropriately apply Scripture to all areas of their lives because they are persuaded that Scripture addresses all areas of life.

Life-long Learning:

Value learning as a life-long endeavor and find great joy in learning and discovering new things through reading, observation, experimentation, and listening.
