In July, Worthington Christian welcomed Tony Earp to the Warrior family as our Athletic Director. Tony and his wife, Chandra, are parents to Alaina (9) and Bennett (5), and their family attends LifePointe Church in Lewis Center.

While we introduced Tony more formally in July, we asked all of our new staff members a few fun “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Coach Earp!

What is something someone might be surprised to find out about you?
Growing up in Florida, I was raised on Disney, and to this day, I still really enjoy watching Disney movies with my kids, and still love the energy and “magic” when I visit one of the parks.

What was the first job you ever had?
My first job was at a car wash in high school, where I was in charge of drying off the cars for the customers.

Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
Mrs. Ewing. She was my Spanish teacher and challenged me more than any other teacher had before. She believed I could do so much, not just in her class but in everything else I wanted to achieve. She was one of the toughest teachers I had in my life, but it was the classroom in which I think I grew the most.

Who has the best pizza in Columbus?
Jets… not sure what it is about it, but I cannot get enough of the four-corner pizza.

What is your most used emoji?
With two young kids, this one gets used often between my wife and me…

What is your favorite homecooked meal?
Taco Night!!! Which happens more than once a week…

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Be pleased, but never satisfied… always be growing.

What is a passage of Scripture you turn to for encouragement?
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
