In this new role, Royal will lead, develop, and grow our football programs at the youth level.
Worthington Christian is thrilled to announce that Coach Chris Royal has been named the Director of Youth Football. In this new role, Coach Royal will lead, develop, and grow our youth football programs, working closely with both the Middle and High School teams.
Coach Royal has been deeply involved with Worthington Christian’s youth football program since joining the school. He has a passion for helping young athletes grow not only in skill but also in character and faith. His commitment to serving players and families has been evident in the many roles he has taken on to support the program over the years.
In stepping into this leadership position, Coach Royal shared that his faith and football experiences have shaped his approach to coaching and mentoring. He is especially passionate about sharing his love of Jesus and the game with every child in the program, guiding them during some of the most formative years of their lives. “Being able to impact young athletes repeatedly throughout their first seven to eight years of school is a responsibility I don’t take lightly,” he said. “I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to help build strong players, strong character, and a strong foundation of faith.”
With a long-term vision for youth football, Coach Royal recognizes the vital role these early experiences play in sustaining strong middle school and high school programs. His influence is already evident through the development of future Warriors in our youth Flag Football and Train to Play Tackle programs, and it will continue to grow as he takes on this new role.
Be on the lookout for upcoming youth football programs and events – let’s go, Warriors!
