Worthington Christian School is welcoming two new nurses to the school staff this year. Jennifer Westbrook (pictured on left) will work alongside lead school nurse Lisa Cunningham helping students at the Upper School. Amanda Blankenship (pictured on right) will work alongside Lower School nurse Leandra Doyel.

Westbrook has over 20 years of experience as a nurse, including several years in pediatric nursing. In recent years, she transitioned to school nursing while living in Florida. She and her family recently re-located to Ohio from Florida, and her three children are all students at WC. She shares, “My faith is the center of everything I do. Being a nurse, I can help people while showing the love of Christ.”

Blankenship has spent the last 21 years on staff at the James Cancer Hospital, 18 of those as a nurse. With three children as students at WC, she has spent time in the past volunteering with the school. In her words, “I am excited to transition to staff…I have loved being an oncology nurse. It is an honor to take care of patients during such a vulnerable time. Although I was able to talk to some patients about God and their faith, I could not always talk openly. I am excited about being free to share my faith and what I continue to learn about God with these young hearts. I enjoy when God shows me how I can specifically help and encourage others.”
