Volunteers are a cherished part of life at the Lower School. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, alum, alumni parent, or friend, there are many ways to support our students and teachers—from classroom help and reading groups to special events and field trips.

Art Room Helper

Art Room Helpers assist with various tasks, including displaying art throughout the school, getting out and cleaning up supplies, and coming alongside the teachers and students as needed.

Cafeteria Help

Do you have time to spare during the day and love interacting with the students and staff?  The cafeteria may be your spot!  Lower School volunteers help the younger students with opening packages, getting condiments for the students, and helping clean the tables between lunch lines.  The Upper School volunteers work beside the food service staff to help serve our students and staff as they come through the lunch line. Volunteers will need to be in place and trained before school starts.

DadLab

DadLab is a group of Lower School dads who encourage one another to pursue intentional personal relationships with Jesus and their families. DadLab small groups meet five to six times per track, weekly or monthly. This group also coordinates Dads and Doughnuts.

Dads and Doughnuts | Fall

What better way to connect with other dads than over coffee and a doughnut? This event, which occurs in the fall and spring, is set aside to share with your child and other dads and to challenge your growth as a father and Christian leader in your family.

Grandparents Day | 2026-27 School Year

Do you have a special place in your heart for making memories for our students with their grandparents?  Then we’d love your help creating a special day for the grandparents or special friends in our children’s lives.  Volunteer help includes day of event activities, hospitality, and photo area.

Marmon Valley Friendship Girls Warriors Boys Weekend

This weekend is geared toward getting out in God’s creation, spending time with friends and family, and creating bonds. The coordinator’s role for this weekend is simple: scheduling horseback riding, assigning cabins, and greeting WC families as they arrive. A coordinator is needed for first through third-grade boys and fourth through sixth-grade boys.

Moms and Muffins | Spring

New for the 2024-25 school year! This event is just like Dads and Doughnuts but with moms! This is a great committee if you have a heart for gathering other moms and their children for a special time together. While enjoying a breakfast treat and refreshment, this will be a time to gather with purposeful conversation and speakers to uplift you.

Prayer Walk | Before School Begins

What better way to start the school year off than blessing our school by praying for our teachers, students, staff, and coaches for the upcoming school year?  Volunteer help on this committee would include leading a group of parents to pray for each building, room, and person that will enter our schools this year.

Praying Parents

This group is open to any Lower School parents who want to pray over the school, the students, and the staff in each building. Please join us on the second Monday of each month from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. in the Auditorium on the K-2 Campus.

Room Parents

Room parents are needed for each classroom.  Tasks include planning holiday parties, helping with special events in the classroom, and communicating with fellow parents about classroom needs. There will be a sign-up sheet at Open House to sign up if you are interested.  We are hoping to get more parents involved this year and asking volunteers to choose which holiday party they would like to volunteer at.  A room parent meeting is held at the beginning of the year to gain more information

Speech Meet

The ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) Speech Meet is a much-anticipated annual event. Numerous judges and coaches are needed.

Stay and Play | Fall and Spring

Are you interested in fostering relationships with other parents?  This committee is responsible for scheduling and attending K-6 Stay and Plays, held after school during the fall and spring months.  This is a low-commitment committee if you are interested in involvement but can’t commit too much time.

STEM Helper

Do you have a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics background? We always look for dads and moms to share their experiences or conduct hands-on learning with our K-6 grade students.

Veteran’s Day | November 11, 2025

Do you feel passionate about showing our veterans appreciation for their sacrifice while teaching our children the importance of these sacrifices, understanding the history, and the love for our country?  Then we would love your help in making this day memorable.
