As we begin a new school year, we want to take a moment to highlight a few new faces at WC, as well as some familiar faces stepping into new roles.
Worthington Christian is excited to welcome Kyra Duffie as an Upper School Spanish Teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from Otterbein University. Kyra comes to us after serving as a Spanish Teacher at Central College Christian School. Kyra and her husband have four siblings and love their nieces and nephews.
We asked staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Kyra!
If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
German or guitar.
What’s something people might be surprised to find out about you?
I mountain bike – no jumps though!
Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
Too many to list! They are the reason I am who I am—a reflection of their sacrifice and commitment.
What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
Baked ziti.
What makes a “good day” at school?
When we complete our objectives well. A GREAT day is when we complete our objectives while having fun.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
The only person you can be better than is yourself yesterday.
