After a long-term substitute teaching position last spring, Dustin Speaks is officially joining Worthington Christian’s faculty, teaching 10th grade Christian Studies and Introduction to the Bible. Speaks brings with him a wealth of education and experience. He earned an undergraduate degree from Ohio University, later attending Trinity Evangelical Divinity Schools, where he earned a master’s degree in Intercultural Studies. He then served as an associate pastor at churches in South Dakota and Ohio, as well as on Cru staff in Berlin, Germany. In the past few years, he opened two Shred415 studios to be engaged in the business world and be a witness in the fitness sphere. He and his wife Lauren have three children at WC’s Lower School.

He shares a glimpse of his journey at WC so far: “Serving as a long-term sub last spring allowed me to get to know students on a daily basis and interact with them about everyday matters, their outside interests, as well as our class content. I love being able to engage with them on a variety of topics.”
