Our First Year Partnering with Finish Line Ministries was an Encouraging One

What a great day our 2023 Share the Ware Sale was! Despite lower inventory from our logo change process a few years ago, we are excited to share that $4,635 was raised at this year’s sale. Our Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) uses these funds to encourage our faculty and staff members and provide WC community-building opportunities throughout the year.

We are incredibly grateful to Heather Thomas for her role in leading this event, and we also wanted to thank Melissa Bussey, Deborah DeVore, Amanda Haines, Erika Irvin, Elizabeth Lake, Vicki Miller, Wendy Shemenski, Ally Short, Natasha Szczygiel-Hicks, Kendra Tsibouris, and Christina Yeary for being a part of the team that organized and made this day a success.

Finish Line Ministries Operation Kindness Clothing Drive

A new dimension to this year’s Share the Ware Sale was a clothing drive to benefit families living in the remote villages of Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. WC families donated enough gently used child and adult clothing to fill more than 55 boxes, and still more are coming in that will travel to these African villages.

We are encouraged by our first year partnering with Finish Line Ministries, and we want you to know it’s not too late to support this initiative. Our donations will be added to Finish Line’s Operation Kindness Clothing Drive, which is taking place later this fall. Sean Patrick and his Finish Line staff are grateful for the support of our community. Learn more about Finish Line Ministries and the Operation Kindness Clothing Drive.
