This Week:

  • Share the Ware Sale: July 25 at the US Hogue Commons, open to all families from 9 – Noon.
  • Lower School Class Lists Posted: Class Lists will be posted by the end of the day on Monday, August 3.
  • Worship and Prayer Night: Please join the WC Community for an evening of dedicating the school year to the Lord. Upper School Gymnasium on August 9th at 5:00pm. 
  • Summer Camps: Check out our camp list for all the fun things happening at WC this summer! Sign up now!
  • School Supply List 2026-27: Please see list for all grades here.
  • Summer Reading Assignments:
    • 5th Grade: Wonder by RJ Palacio. You may check out from the library or here is the Amazon link.
    • 6th Grade: Students may choose their own book this year – please see requirements here.
  • School Closet Uniform Sale: Discounts available through the summer. Please see flyer here for sales and codes.
  • Uniform Dress Code: Here are the uniform changes for the 2026-27 school year.
    • What’s Changing
      • Standard crewneck sweatshirt for all students (K–12): Students may now wear a standard logo crewneck sweatshirt in red, white, or grey at all campuses. A uniform polo needs worn under the sweatshirt.
      • More affordable khaki and shorts options: Students may wear chino-style, khaki-colored shorts or pants. Cargo, skinny, and jogger styles are not permitted.
  • What You Can Expect
    • We hope the expanded khaki options are more cost-conscious for families by allowing students to choose any appropriate chino brand. Students no longer need to purchase khakis from only Lands’ End or School Closet.
    • The new standardized crewneck sweatshirt is available at School Closet for $30. This provides a more affordable outerwear option for both Lower and Upper School students.

    School Hours | 9 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Attendance (Hotline: 614-410-4343)
    To report an absence, late arrival, or early dismissal before 9 AM on a school day, call the attendance hotline at 614-410-4343. Messages can also be left the night before and will be adjusted in attendance the next day. After 9 AM on a school day, please call the main office at 614-431-8240.
    • Attendance Flowchart: Please note that all excused absences will be marked as “unexcused” until proper documentation is turned in.
    • Extended Absence: If you are aware of a future absence that will be 4+ days, please fill out our Extended Absence Pre-verification Form and turn it in to the office at least a week prior to leaving if possible.
    • Attendance Policies: This is a brief summary of our policies regarding academic integrity and regulated attendance rules. More details can be found in our student handbook beginning on page 27.
  • Chapel
    Parents are welcome to attend any of our chapels during the school year! They are every Wednesday in the Lower School Gymnasiums (K-2 starts at 9:05 AM, 3-6 starts at 9:30 AM). Please remember that you must sign in at the Lower School office before going to chapel.
  • Email Grade Notifications
    If you would like to receive an email notification from FACTS when there is a missing or zero entered on your student’s assignments, and to receive a weekly progress report, please follow our instruction page to set it up.
  • Praying Parents Group
    Please join us on the second Monday of each month from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. in the Auditorium on the K-2 Campus. Contact Tisha Nussbaum.
  • Uniforms need to be uniform, so please see below and the handbook for guidelines:
    • Please see this visual chart for quick reference.
    • Students may now wear straight-leg chino pants and shorts (no cargo, skinny, or jogger styles) from any retailer. Pants and shorts should be khaki colored.
    • Skirts, jumpers and shorts are to be no shorter than 3 inches above the top of the kneecap.
    • The only outerwear pieces allowed to be worn in class are the navy fleece, uniform sweaters and the standard WC logo crewneck sweatshirt. A uniform polo or Oxford must be worn underneath any outer layer.
    • Socks, tights, and leggings are to be white, black, gray, or navy with no pattern/print.
    • Shoes must be closed toe/closed heel – no crocs.
    • Please see the handbook for all the details on dress code (beginning on page 16).
  • Drop Off & Pick Up
    • Parents may begin dropping-off students at 8:30am. 
    • If you arrive before 8:30am:
      • At K-2, we have plenty of room in the carline.
      • At 3-6, we cannot have any cars in line because we use the same line for buses. At 3-6, if you arrive before 8:30am, you must park in the K-2 parking lot to wait then drive over.
    • All students must be picked up no later than 3:40pm.  
    • Shuttle Drop Off Map: If you utilize the morning shuttle at the US, please take a look at this map for drop off location. It is important to follow these routes for the safety of both our students and drivers.
